IGT Toscana Rosso
Thesan, the Etruscan goddess of the morning light gives her name to this wine as the vineyard is blessed by the early light of day whose rosy highlights can sometimes be seen in the wine...
A perfumed, complex wine of medium body, intense notes of sweet red and sour dark cherries, dried herbs and spices. In the warm sunny days and cooling mountain breezes the sangiovese grapes reach optimal maturity while retaining fine acidity and fruit aromas. Naturally poor, stoney and calcerous clay soil give yields that are just 800g per plant, typically. After spontaneous fermentation the wine was aged 21 months in french oak tonneaux.
